While John was visiting Seoul, we visited quite a few of those cute coffee shops in town as we both enjoy nice and relaxing time at those little places with some coffee and chat. 10×10 that I blogged about a while ago is one that is run by a local design/ stationary company and this coffee shop that I’m going to post some photos of also is run by another design/ stationary store in Korea. I love their products and so does John. So here are some photos from MMMG coffee shop, I know you want to visit there already!

10×10 is one of my favorite stationary/ design stores in Korea. I was quite excited when I saw the sign of CAFE1010 while I was walking around the streets in Hongdae.

CAFE1010 is a cafe themed with travel. The entire experience at this coffee shop reminded me of being on an airplane – the receipt of purchased item looks like an airplane ticket, the menu items reminded me of in-flight meal, and their membership card is called passport.

Coffee tasted great here and you can purchase the cute mug they serve coffee with at their stationary/ design store. Although I didn’t get a chance to try their food, some of their sandwiches and light alcohol looked quite good as well.

They also have a few book shelves filled with travel/ photography books and magazines. The windows are decorated with airplane windows and travel destinations.

The huge red container on the doorway is their stationary/ design store filled with the brilliant 10×10 stationary/ design items. If you are lucky, you can get store discounts as well.

To get to CAFE1010, take subway line 2, get off at Hongik Univ. station, and take exit number 5.

It seems like John and I will be having a photography exhibition next month. Although I’ve been thinking about my photography exhibition for a long time and wanted to take a longer time to prepare, the opportunity came by rather unexpectedly and I had to make a quick decision.
The opening will be on April 9 at Guillaume, French bakery/ restaurant in Cheongdam-dong, Seoul. Guillaume is owned and operated by a French man, Guillaume, and is the first authentic French bakery in Seoul. Guillaume will have a part of his bakery available for photography exhibitions and is planing to have new exhibitions every month. I truly appreciate his kindness for providing such a beautiful space to support the local photographers.
John and I went to see Guillaume yesterday, had a wonderful coffee and macarons, and took some photos.

I picked up the photos of the second roll with Olympus XA today and here are some of the better ones to share. Rangefinder is a bit confusing still and I guess it takes practice. At least the second roll turned out better than the first one.

It snowed last weekend. I went out for a walk to the near by park and took some photographs in the snow. I wanted to share some of the better ones from the walk. It’s snowing heavily again today and I’m glad that I decided to take a day off and stay home.
